It’s my first time making sausages and I’m googling around a bit. I can see there are quite a few companies that are offering the same thing.

LEM, PS seasoning, Amazon, the sausage maker , etc.

I’m looking to make some basic bratwurst, andouille, mild Italian, hot Italian, and maybe some other basic ones. I’m going to use pig casings.

I’m trying to keep it simple for my first go round.

Does anyone have any experience with brands that you recommend?

Most of the brands mentioned don't make their own seasonings. They buy them through a private label manufacturer. Newly Weds spice company is one of the biggest. Made by Newly weds, Witt's brand is as good as any, and usually a little cheaper. Lots of places online have it.

AC Legg has lots of good ones especially for a common sausage like breakfast or italian. Walton's Hatch Green Chile brats are a favorite around here.

If I don't make my own, I go here:

I'm not sure how they are with shipping because I buy in person but they have a great selection and friendly people.

I use Con Yeager for jerky, bulk and linked sausage in hot or sweet Italian, and maple blueberry flavor for breakfast sausage. Their snack sticks come out good too. I like hi mountain cracked pepper n garlic or jalapeño summer sausage but I add chopped bell peppers and red onion.
