Which broadheads would you choose?

So my wife has a Lift RS set up at 46lbs and 26” draw length shooting a 345gr arrows at 245fps. From everyone I’ve spoken to, her bow is shooting a good bit slower than expected with this setup. She’s currently shooting 100gr Magnus black Hornet 4 blades which have performed great. They’re actually my favorite broadhead. However, I’d like her to get a little more speed for a flatter trajectory. Her current set up had no problem passing through a whitetail doe, so I’m comfortable with its ability to kill. That isn’t a concern.

With that in mind, I’m wondering what everyone thinks about possibly switching to an 85gr (qad exodus or Magnus stinger 4 blades which) or 75gr broadheads (wasp bullet, muzzy trocar, or innerloc) and what they’d recommend of those or if they have another recommendation. A broadhead that is still able to pass through with her current set up is a must. So whatever the fastest set up that still has sufficient penetration is what I’m looking for.

montec G5 all day long bear deer stand no chance
i did use a sevr this year on a doe quite tge hole
I’ve heard mixed reviews regarding their durability/softness of their steel. I’m sure they get the job done, just not sure I’d trust them over the other listed broadheads, especially in the 85gr category.

If you're not concerned with it's ability to kill, just the trajectory of the arrow, I'd think about the shot distances your wife is taking. Is she shooting out past 35 or so yards regularly?

For hunting no, for just fun when target shooting yes

I've shot a lot of different broadheads including montecs. There are always newer "cooler" broadheads but bottom line is the montecs work, they are readily available, and they are cheap. I think I've killed 4 or 5 bulls with them and haven't had a failure yet.

I also wouldn't change the head, though an Exodus is never the wrong answer. It sounds like you're leaving a lot of speed on the table by not dropping to a much lighter arrow though.

Personally, I'd go with the Magnus Killer bee 2 blade to ensure penetration, or IW s series buff or any other small to medium 2 blade. I've taken a buck and mature bull with a killer bee. I've went up to the IW, but still have the wife set up with killer bee.

Yeah, I guess I should have added, would it be worth it to have her drop to a significantly lighter combination overall? If her bow could be shooting in the 270-280 range, it would be a much more forgiving trajectory I believe, which is kinda where I was getting at with this. Obviously to attain that I’d have to do more than just drop the broadhead weight. I’ll need way lighter shafts. So long as she has a cut on contact broadhead, she shouldn’t have any issues if shot placement is good, and with that said, a flatter trajectory will give her a better chance in that regards

Worth it can really only be answered by you or her. But I think you could build an arrow that was light enough to get to that speed.

When I said worth it, I more meant in regards to if there would be any significant drop in penetration with the lighter arrow? I think it would be minimal, and the benefit of flat trajectory would outweigh any slight loss in penetration.

Stick with the 4 blade.

Or, try out the muzzy 4-blade 90 grain (My wife shoots those with ~ the same setup and killed a moose with them....they are DEADLY).

I'm really not sure on the penetration aspect. A razor sharp head always helps.
