Which bino harness?

Which harness do you guys prefer that would work with Zeiss Victory FL 10x42's? Also looking into tripods, was told buy a knowledgeable hunter to go with the Slik Sprint Mini with a Jim White Fluid head for stabile glassing.

What kind of hunting do you do? That might depend on tripod and head combo. Do you prefer to stand?

I have an FHF which is very nice and a Rick Young one. The RY is just a bungee cord but I seem to use that one more than my FHF. The FHF gets the nod if I'm going to be in wet or snowy conditions as it gives my Leicas more protection. I use an eye piece cover made of neoprene when using the RY. Both are great. The RY is cheap enough you can get both!

On tripod, I just got a Slik Cf24 (that's the smaller one right?) and am so far very impressed. I have a jim white pan and the outdoorsmans pistol grip with pan attachment and use both. Both are great.

FHF harness you can't go wrong.

I want one that works when belly crawling. Anything will work when standing up. So far the FHF looks like it might fit the bill but it would be nice to see pictures with it prone. Don't waste your money on Badlands. The upper straps are positioned to tip the top forward, making it a great dirt scoop.

FHF for me. Works well for everything I've done so far from hiking through brush to crawling up a hill.

I just received the FHF harness in the mail a couple of days ago for my Swaro 10x42 EL. I think I have found perfect system for me. Very comfortable and no pressure around the neck. I have tried several other harnesses over the last couple of years and well; they have all been a pain in the neck for me. Paul at FHF is great to work with.

I use the Rick Young also. At first glance it does not seem like much but it is very minimalist and simple which I like. I give it a definate thumbs up. Also very cheap...

I have the Rick Young harness really like it so far. I also have the Silk sprint mini II. Its fine if you spot while sitting. If you stand while glassing its to short. Both items offer a lot of bang for your buck....

Rick Young for me. It's only about an ounce or two. Like it a lot so far and it's cheap unlike most gear when going lightweight

KUIU has a very nice harness on the way as well. You can read about it in the most recent issue of Elk Hunter Magazine where they stack it up against the FHF and Sitka. It's expected to be available come July.
