Picked up a Bravo for my Tikka 6 PRC. Obviously uses 6.5 PRC brass, so I need to know which AICS mags work for the PRC on a Tikka. I’ve seen word that not all the AICS mags work with the Tikka. I ordered two Amend2 polymer 6.5 PRC AICS mags, but haven’t received them yet, and wanted to see if anyone has used them, or if I need to go with an MDT or Accurate-Mag. Thanks

Tikka in krg usually means must be metal feed lips, standard or magnum case head

I use accurate 300wsm mags in mine
Gotcha. To clarify, you shoot either a 6.5 PRC or 300 WSM in a Tikka/Bravo configuration?

I shoot a 6.5prc tikka in a krg bravo

I use accurate brand 300wsm no binder aics magazines. AFAIK they don’t sell one labeled 6.5prc

My rifle functions well

Thanks for confirming. I need to shoot it next week and didn’t want to end up with the wrong components lol.

You use the 3 or 7 round version? Also, I’m assuming the DSSF configuration?

I think you'll be a bit disappointed when those Amend2 mags show up. they hold three but are size of a 5rnd and didn't feed well for me. I've used the Hawkins AICS mags in my MDT chassis and really like them. No experience with them in a KRG chassis, but i dont see why they wouldn't work. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

7 rounds, yes.

Looking now they have a 6.5prc “version” I’m assuming the only difference is what’s written on the magazine. Nice update though.

I have used mdt mags in a bravo. I have not used the 6.5/300. the mags are metal so you can tune the feed lips if needed but you probably won't need to. the most extreme thing you may need to do to get a mag to work is get an adjustable mag latch from KRG.
MDT aics mags are the most popular in the prs

Reason I ask is I saw that specific mag didn’t work for some.

My experience has been with a bravo chassis and a tikka action. it always feed fine and good.
Like i said sometimes the feed lips need to be tuned and the adjustable mag latch can help solve problems too.

Good to know! Thanks for the input
