I'm currently looking at these models:
Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56 ($550-$650)
Athlon Cronus HD 15x56 ($630)
Steiner HX 15x56 ($839)
I was leaning toward the Cronus, but then I saw that I could get a deal on a Steiner HX for $839 and was wondering if the glass difference is high enough that I should just go that route.
I can't find much info on the Steiner HX (they should fire their marketing team, lol) and I don't know how their customer service compares with other brands. It seems everyone only messes with Vortex, Swaro, Leica, Zeiss, and lately Maven. Not a whole lot out there regarding Steiner.
As a bonus question, should I save up for a few more months and get a Maven B.4 15x56? My original budget was $600ish, and I'm planning to use these to spot target rifle hits on steel at long ranges.
