Where you from and favorite birds?

Colorado and I love waterfowl although I haven't had a chance to do much of it recently. There was a time where I was obsessed. Love the sound of whistling wings before shooting light. I also like the dog antics as well.

New Brunswick, waterfowl dominate my hunting schedule and I wouldn't change that. Something about hunting waterfowl over water really appeals to me. That said Ruffed Grouse are princes of the upland and kings of the table and I will put a lot of effort in to hunt them, particularly with a good bird dog.

Alabama pen raised quail
My dogs look like super stars
I can hit about 50% of them 50% of the time and table fair is awesome.

Turkeys are pretty high up there

I was born in PA, grew up in NW Colorado and now live in Chicago. My favorite bird is the king! Ruffed grouse. Living in Chicago sucks for hunting, but I can be into some of the best public land upland bird hunting opportunities in about 4 hours from my house. Just wish I had a dog to make the most of it.

Don’t act like you know anything about turkeys. You also forgot to mention the 50% you hit are on the ground!

Northern Minnesota. Great Ruffed Grouse hunting. It's a great time hitting old logging roads with the dog. Currently stationed in southern CA and have gotten into quail hunting as well.

Va, the only birds worth shooting are migratory. more than 2/3 flushes in the grouse woods are sadly considered a good day.

South central North Dakota. locally Sharptails, Cranes, Canvasbacks and Redheads. Then I take trips for quail when it gets to dang cold here., this year planning a trip for chukar as well.

Sadly the wild bird population in my area is very poor, but every feb. we take a trip too a shooting preserve for bob white quail, decent hunt and the company is good, enjoy watching the dogs work the field probaly more than the actual shooting.
