Just tell people, no need for drama and theatrics. And in 3 or 4 years no need for a huge party to celebrate graduation from pre-school.
Those are so stupid. Even middle school graduation is pretty dumb.

That's what we did as well, and I wouldn't change it for the world. We just picked a boy name and a girl name and waited to see. So few actual surprises in the world these days.
Couldn't agree more, it's what I tell any new parents as well.

Same sentiment with my wife and I - we didn't want to know. Finding out right as they are born is part of the whole miracle - I think it made the whole experience even more meaningful. I was standing there in stunned silence (as I did with all three) until the Dr. looked up at me and said "well, are you going to tell your wife what it is"

We waited until birth for all 3 of ours. "It" was "it" until then. When my 3rd daughter was born, she hadn't been out for 2 minutes and I referred to HER as "it" and the lady doctor chewed my ass! Lol...."you can call her her now! "
