From 15-25 it was 70lbs, from 25-40 it was 75+lbs.

52 # on my recurve @ 68 years old consistently . I have not owned a compound bow in maybe twenty seven years .

Ill be 46 here in a month.

Ive been shooting 70 lbs since I was in my teens. I have some nerve damage in my shoulder and neck and it just couldnt handle more than a half dozen shots at 70 anymore.

So last year I dropped to 65 and am thinking of dropping to 60!

A 60 lb can do what a 70 could just 15 years ago!
