Chip, Chocolate, deer. Basically junk. no cooked food that would get the aroma travelling far and messing up my hunt.

I make some protein balls to snack on (oats, PB, protein powder, honey, choc chips) along with some almonds and an apple for the usual mix. Coffee is a treat, or maybe even a serving of cream of mushroom soup to warm me up midday.

You guys carrying something hot in might check out the microlite 1000ml screw top or the 500ml flip top, both are very light and keep stuff that is well heated when it is poured in very hot for quite a while. Flip top is great for coffee/tea. Both keep water from freezing in severe cold.

My go-to this season has been smuckers uncrustables peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because I bought them for my daughter but she does not care for them. Then the standard stuff like peanut M&Ms, protein bars, jerky. As we get into late season I pack more and more snacks and then start bringing coffee for all day sits.

Usually end up eating on some clif bars, even though I really don't like them. Ideally I bring something sweet that keeps me occupied when I'm seeing a whole lot of nothing. Soft chew licorice comes to mind.

Let's hear what your go to snack of choice while going through those short or long sits!
Healthy or not doesnt matter. Also when do you choose to start snacking
For me, I'm a sucker for a small bag of gummies or chocolate, paired with protein bar, peanuts/almonds.
I try and eat a little after the sun is up and try and hold off until around 12, then lunch, then snack right as I sit around 3

Granola bars and a bag or homemade trail mix.

Oddly enough, i like something with a loud wrapper (like a fudge round) so when the hunting is slow I can challenge myself with getting it out and eating it quietly to pass time. Other than that I like jerky that offers a long chew to keep down on movement and If in a position that I’m not worried about the scent of spitting on the ground, sunflower seeds.
Lol nice
