I'm working on new product development and I'm curious what you guys are using for total weight upfront on your arrows including the insert, broadhead, and collar if used. Let me know what you are using or want to use for total weight. Thanks!

For elk using a .246 insert @ 60 grains with a 125 head.

Whitetail just a standard insert (14) with 125 head.

Recurve I'm using 100 insert with 125 head.

I like stainless inserts over brass as they are stronger and longer. The length will help to stiffen spine and provide more area for adhesive.

Bill I’m running 125 on my .246 shafts, but I’m planning a 139 or 186 point weight built on a .204 platform.

I try not to "double buy" components, so I use the standard HIT inserts (16 gr), with an Iron Will Collar (25 gr), and easy to find 100 gr heads. Likely on the light side by Rokslide standards.

125gr total: 100gr broadhead, 10gr IW titanium collar, 15gr HIT insert.

I am testing some different shafts and they fly better with 150grs up front so will look for a collar/insert combo to get that as I like my IW 100gr BHs.

I'm really simple I just stick with 150 up front on the Axis. Honestly only use this weight because that's what Dudley has been doing forever.

Been using 100g head, 50g HIT, and 25g collar. I am thinking about dropping down to 150 this coming season, probably drop to 25g HIT.

Last year had 200 total up front (100 gr point with 50 gr insert and 50 gr screw in weight). This year going to try 225 total up front (100 gr point with 50 gr insert and 75 gr screw in weight).

100 grain head. 50 grain insert. 25 grain collar.

I have some arrows with 75 grain brass inserts that I run without collars during target shooting.

I have two different setups that get me nearly identical total arrow weights and trajectories. One is 275 gr total (200 gr broadhead and 75 gr insert). The other is 292 gr total (125 gr broadhead, 145 gr insert, and 22 gr collar). In the process of moving the second up to 317 or 342 by increasing the broadhead to 150 or 175 gr while looking for a lighter shaft, though. Admittedly, the second is also a bit of a geardo setup that just ended up that weight due to the insert and collar functionality that I wanted.

Last year
100gr IW
75gr Brass HIT
10gr IW Collar

on a 300 spine rampage cut at 29".

This year I'll probably glue in 50gr brass inserts, and play with the 10 and 25gr collars to see what flies best. 300 Spine Axis cut 29" carbon to carbon.

4 AAE max stealths at the back.
