Alright gentlemen, as you all know, SWFA has finally blessed us with that sweet manna from heaven known as the HD 3-9x42 (lol). Everybody is talking about how many they're ordering but what I want to know is:

What rifles are you putting them on? Same for any other SWFA models like the 3-15x, 6x, 10x, etc.

Pictures would be a bonus.

PS- I'm making this thread because I'm trying to figure out which rifles to mount my 3-9 and 3-15 scopes on or if I should buy another rifle. Just fishing for ideas.

I'll play

6.5 T3x with the 5-20
.223 T3x with the 3-9
.22 T1 with the 6x

The T1 combo has been a ton of fun chasing prairie dogs, spoting misses and adjusting for wind/drop. If no wind 200 yards is pretty easy, still trying for one at 300 with the .22LR. The .223 and 6.5 almost seem like an unfair advantage on prairie dogs.

Fixed 6x in the safe was going to go on my inherited .30-06, but now it may get a 3-9.

Got a 3-15 for Christmas that was going to go on a t3x 6.5CM I’m about to order. Was able to order a 3-9 yesterday so that’ll probably go on the CM now and the 3-15 I’ll save for something else, possibly a 223.

The 6x on my .Tikka 260 was great this season. Long shots on 2 coues deer was manageable but on those small body deer that blend in so well much past 550 yards isn’t feasible for me. It did its job at 480 and 530 yards on those two deer, but I’m going to swap over to the 3-9 on my .260 for how and where I hunt.

The 6x will move to a daily shooting .22-250 Tikka and we already have another 6x on my wife’s .243 Tikka.

I have a 3-15 for long squirrel/rabbit shots on my Tikka .17 HMR.

Wow, those are some long shots with a 6x! That's awesome!

My 3-9 arrived today and will be replacing my 10x on my Tikka, which is currently a 6.5CM but will be a 30-06 again by spring.

The 10x will then go on a 223 Tikka once I get around to buying one.

Savage 111 in .300WM. Has a DNZ Gamereaper and a Leupold VX3, always worked well but this year we burn points on a Wyoming cow elk tag and will start applying for oryx. Time to increase reliability.

Have some SWFA rings, need to get a rail. And a stock pack. Gonna paint the stock and work up a non lead load.
