I have a little predator calling chair that is super comfy to sit in and glass from. Works great if more/less hunting from the pickup.

I use a simple foam pad that I just roll up, slips into my pack. Depending on country your hunting, but I like to stay as low to the ground as possible, and always try to find some brush , tree, etc, to sit in front of.

My hunting partner likes a pad (keeps ground moisture at bay and small sharp rocks), so I made him a simple one with 1/4" foam and 500d cover. I made myself one too and then forgot it somewhere on a mountain, I made myself another one AND forgot it on the mountain, I made myself ANOTHER one and this time did a panel in orange on it and still left it on the mountain... lol its just not meant to be I guess. (Or maybe I'll calm down and pack ALL my gear up when I run off after something in the future.)

P.S. if you find pads laying around on the mountains, those places suck for hunting think nothing of it. ;)

I do the same thing. Usually have a mono-pod that I rest my binos on and sit until my ADD kicks in then its time to move.
