Same here - can squeeze 250 if no-one is around and can shoot off a berm.

Have fought this problem in prepping for antelope - figured if could shoot a tight group could stretch it another 100 yards. So 250 started producing tight groups. My father had worked up some pinpoint loads for that gun and they worked very well at 250.

Did shoot an antelope at 350 and another at 25 yards. Go figure. Most I saw after that were in the 75-150 yard bracket.

Would like to shoot 400 yards some to get semi-comfortable with it but not expecting to shoot 300+ much. Want the 400 yd experience to know actual bullet drop to that range, then may use it as max hunting range in preferred conditions or as a back-up thing. Plus they clear cut my deer lease last year and there are some nice bucks around - being able to reach out and tag one might come in handy.
