2011 CCLB Duramax. I can still get 15-18 mpg with the wheelers on the trailer or I can take the camper shell off and get 18-20 with the wheeler in the truck bed. Truck does pretty good off road too, but is a bit bumpy

Do you still have factory shocks? Does your truck have any kind of leveling kit in it?

Factory shocks and I put a couple turns on the keys when I put those wheels on. Pretty sure it didn’t lift it at all

Maybe look at replacing your shocks with some icon 2.0 or some bilstein 5100.

When they go out, I am planning on upgrading. I’ve been slowly putting kryptonite stuff on it as it’s gone bad.

2010 RAV4 gets it done, can fit a twin size mattress and a cooler in the back.

For rough stuff we have a 15 ruby w/ 3.5” AEV lift on 35s. So far I’ve upgraded steering to yeti smart steering, Adam’s drive shafts, warn 10k winch. Roof rack is critical in getting all our stuff back there and meat out.

I just hunt out of my pickup… 37s, Carli pintop 4.5” lift, kings 2.5 resivour shocks, deaver springs. Rides awesome for a one ton, and has a ton of clearance and travel. Works pretty slick that i can tow the camper and then unhook and go if im on a road based hunt.

I love it. In the process of going from my 18 to a 2026 350. I’ve got 6” plus lift on it now, thinking 4” for the next one.

Carli makes some amazing suspensions. They are lifts meant to actually perform and give you travel, not just ground clearance. That first picture with it twisted to hell I could still open all 4 doors and the tailgate.

Not so much old-skool charm here but the pop up camper gets ready quick and propane heater makes it pretty dang cozy down to 10-15F so far

The Carli systems truly are a step above the rest. Their geometries are dialed, and if you can work with a good alignment shop to get it dialed to their specs, you really Don’t feel like you’re driving a lifted truck.

2019 f150, almost 160k on it. Broke a bilstein 6100 here in September, have since went with fox2.0s. I’ve had a couple different suspension setups front and rear in this, currently has BDS upper control arms. The rear has progressive rate 2250lb springs lifting it 1.5” and allowing it to handle towing heavy, it drops 1.5” with any weight due to the light top spring. Rear shocks are Bilstein 5160s. Like most of my belongings I like, I have a ton of money wrapped up in this thing to haul a$$, tow trailers and be quite efficient for what it is. Currently has 295/70 r18 recon grapplers- pretty high praises for this tire. Wheels unfortunately are discontinued 18x10” monster beadlocks by raceline.

One or the other, depending on the trip. Could also be jet boat, bike, or just my Kenetreks. Have to say, the Tug is by far my comfiest hunting camp.

2002 24v Cummins dodge. RTT, decked system, Diesel heater can heat either the cab or the Tent.

‘82 Nordic Tug 26. Burns 1.3 GPH. Slow but comfy. New deer camp (among other roles), added this year.

2007 Tundra currently has 260k on it, still runs strong and tight despite hauling trailers, 4x4ing backroads and grocery getting.

Leveling kit and air bags in back, slightly taller tires than stock.

Stock Ford Explorer. Unload the Yamaha Grizzly 660 as soon as the roads get dicey.

Works great for being on a budget, and saves the suspension on our family car. Would love to get into a SXS someday, but this gets me anywhere I need.
