Whats your favorite headlamp?

I really like the small rechargeable milwaukee ones. I have black diamond, fenix and a few others but I always use the milwaukee daily and around the house and shop.

Just got a Fenix. It’s likely going to replace my Peax. I wish it had more red light brightnesses like the Peax. It’s smaller, lighter, and doesn’t require a special charging cable.

I have had various black diamonds for decades but switched 2 yrs ago to the Nitecore NU25 MCT UL. I am 100% sold! I recommend the nitecore to everyone looking for a HL. (I also have the HC70 for generaly around the house and it uses a 21700.
Only thing I thought I would have a problem with on NU25, is that it is a built in battery but when I got it I still thought I would be carying AA & AAA's everywhere. It has been GREAT.

I've ran the AAA Coast headlamps with good luck and now a rechargeable one. No complaints but I always wonder what I'm missing out on. I have a nice Fenix flashlight and I've been eyeing a few of their headlamps lately but I really don't have a reason to buy one.

Also made the switch to a Sofrin light this year. I have no regrets and really enjoy the brightness the red light has to offer. I haven't seen another light touch it. Being USB C compatible is also a win

Been using the sofrin for a couple years now. Haven't ran into the cold weather problems others have mentioned but will prob get some back up batteries for it just in case.

If I could only have one, it would be the Fenix hmr60, but as it is, I use my hmr55 more often because it fits perfectly in my bino harness (sentinel range finder pocket on the opposite side of my range finder) and it’s light with good battery life (I never use head lamps on high power)

I did just get a sofrin, for the money it’s a nice option, but it’s heavy and the strap is lacking compared to fenix, but for walking through crap in the dark, the flood setting is excellent, it throws a very wide and even light and you can see all around you really well and doesn’t blind you with glare

Still have to see what reliability is, especially after spending time in a waterlogged pack, but seems fine. The Fenix hmr60 is a workhorse though, if you only have one and have to rely on it, it’s more weatherproof by design, good battery life, and is very difficult to accidentally turn on in your pack, which is one thing that Fenix does right, you have to hold down the button for a couple seconds vs the sofrin and many others where you just tap the button to turn on
