Primos Sonic Dome single. I can really hit the high note with that one, it's really high pitched. If I only had one call that would be it because I feel I can locate more elk with that one.

Diaphragm calls are like boots. You don't know if it's going to fit you're mouth until you try it out. Last year I bought three different Phelps calls and settled on the Amp Green as the phone I like the best.

Phelps pink for bugling. Grey or green for cow calls. Orange and black are super easier to use but not all around calls for me.

Just decided to get a maverick this year and it may become my favorite for bugling. For now pink is still better to me.

I like them as they are some of the easiest to use. Born and raised in the PNW so that helps too:p

It was the mistress and it changed to the champ Rocky Mountain elk calls, this call does it all subtle cow mews and high pitched bull sequence🤙

Ross, I didn't necessarily mean to pick you to quote but saw you had sent like 10,000 messages and live in Elk country so assumed you probably have a more knowledgeable opinion than someone who just joined in 2020.
That said I would appreciate anyone's feedback as to durability of diaphragm Elk calls? Has anyone found one brand to be any more durable than another?

I've been using diaphragm calls for a long time but don't consider myself a great caller by any means. I have been practicing with a Phelps black Amp call and noticed it starting to deteriorate though I haven't used it a lot. It's just one of several diaphragms I've been practicing with but I do like it so it has got used more than the others. I am a bit concerned with it's durability however. I haven't used it long but I see latex is not flat anymore. It still sounds OK though. I thought to purchase at least one more of the same and went to the GoHunt site to purchase one. There is one review there for the AMP but is pretty negative as to durability. I also heard one of the Elknuts seminar's (was great), but I think he mentioned he goes through something like 8 calls a season. So what is your experience with the durability of diaphragm calls?

Why yes I have Elk street credibility to comment fully on anything elk🤙👍durability will be factors Related to care simple usage the pressure applied and how you treat your elk call....today’s calls are very durable and consistent and if not placed in the sun to dry out and placed in some container dry for storage I like the refrigerator you can get 1000s of calls out of them....the Bugler Dirk did a test with his counting the bugles made Before failure and it was very high, believe most calls will be about the same if treat with care👍DAC5B221-3074-45AD-BF83-1B0092950E97.jpeg5F9837D8-C67B-4C71-B1F3-0C9CD5FF4F4D.jpeg9BCC5B52-4808-47CF-9CA3-C9F3D21892ED.jpeg0A81B114-E780-4AEB-B865-1A2768D9C64F.jpegE281FCCA-DA1A-4075-A2D3-D1588B776DF7.jpegE281FCCA-DA1A-4075-A2D3-D1588B776DF7.jpegC6541224-4F6A-4FDD-8D85-0D052E589389.jpeg4AD2BABA-32DA-453A-94C8-334466849FA5.jpeg495FABD9-3B68-4186-AA6C-6B90F21ECB2D.jpeg39FDEF9B-F0B7-4003-A945-647E9642ABDB.jpeg895FFE8B-02BE-430B-AC7A-210C3AF6550F.jpeg
