What’s you FAVORITE elk diaphragm call for bugling?

I'm not very experienced, but the Phelps amp series is my favorite. I really like the maverick for bugling. the black makes some really good cow calls.

Mellow yellow and the raging bull (brown one).
I just looked on buglingbull.com. I dont like the contender, doesn’t fit right. The two I like are medium profile, the contender is high profile. Good to know! Glad they put that chart on there!

Amp, black. Hands down for me. I keep trying others but i always come back to it.

You can’t cheat the mountain

Last year it was a Carlton's, the year before it was a Phelps. The year before that it was a bugling bull. This year it's a Native. I guess my favorite is always the one I'm using this elk season. ;)

Rocky Mountain "Elk Camp". Easier to learn and more consistent sound for me (beginner). Good at soft to medium volume. It will blow out on a loud bugle. I prefer the "Royal Point" for windy days or to reach out a long way. All these are medium profile. The Champ and All Star were too high of a profile for me. Didn't fit good and air was passing around the tape. Phelps Maverick is also good, similar size/fit.

Phelps pink is my favorite so far. Very easy to get good sounds out of for me. I bought one from him personally at the expo last year and had him and Dirk sign my bugle tube. (I’m kind of a nerd like that)
