What's the best Rokstok alternative?

I have one of the LR for my defiance anti, I’m really liking it, I’m shorter and I got no problem with the trigger reach

Should also be noted that neither of those companies charge you prior to the stock being nearly done.

I like my eh1s
Absolutely. Order a McM, and be happy knowing you are getting top quality and aren’t funding a company’s business risk in advance. The Mtn Tracker has the closest resemblance, but don’t overlook the GameWarden LR either. Of course nothing wrong with Manners either, I love my EH1, just be prepared to wait longer. I also like that McM’s pillars come already installed.

Thanks for the input. I have a Manners LRH on a 700SA, but im going to start in on a tikka build and want to try something else, even though I have never been disappointed with my manners. it is extremely comfortable to be behind and shootability is outstanding. Simply got the bug to try something else.

My second Echelon CF Versa arrived today. Installed barreled action and checked feeding with dummies. Everything was perfect. Will burn some powder tomorrow.

I've made several posts about the two. A couple linked below, but you can find more if you search my username with Versa and/or Echelon...and the ones below have more posts in the thread. The pics tell a lot.

I really like both. Weight is the deciding factor for me - light rifle = Echelon, sporter = RokStok or Mt Tracker LR

If you like light stocks, the Echelon CF Versa is a nice stock. Trigger reach is ~same as RS, vertical grip, negative comb, butt is close to bore line.

Notable differences are not having a straight toeline and forend...it's a trade off of straight line tracking on rests and built positions vs an angle change. I've spent a lot to time shooting one and haven't had any trouble staying on target. There are differences in overall design but if nothing else, it's another recommendation to consider.

Sorry it took me so long to post these...busy time. Here are a few pics beside an RS. The seams of the floor are approximately lined up with the bore, though the angle of the camera is a little off, it gives you a rough reference. If there's something particular you'd like a picture of let me know...I'll try to be a little quicker to post.

The underside of the RS is parallel to the bore, both the forend and butt. The EV has a more traditional slant. The EV has a longer grip that is a touch more vertical. The negative comb on the EV is not as aggressive as the RS

The grip differences can be seen more here.

The EV is a much more square stock on the edges. It would work well for ARCA rails.

Shooting yesterday confirms how much I like the CF Versa. The difference in muzzle rise between the Stocky's VG and the Versa, even with the minimal recoil of a .223, is very noticeable at the bench. The butt/bore height relationship in the Versa, RockStok, and McMillian Mt Tracker LR just keeps you on target.

I haven't kept up with the status, but I'm looking forward to giving the RS Lite a try when it's in production.
