Whats the best cooler?

I completed my first use/test on my Pelican 45qt. I pre cooled it Saturday night before the Super Bowl with frozen gallon bottle. I had a case of beer and a 20lb bag of ice around 12pm. People were in and out of the cooler at a outdoor party in Florida (about 60 degrees) throughout the night. I left the cooler in the back of my truck (under a topper ). I checked on it a couple of times through the week. I had about 3 pounds of ice left yesterday morning. Nothing scientific about the test. It worked well for what I will use it for.

Dual battery system but also you wouldnt reallt beed to leave it on, dump the meat in there and then crank it right up and it would be cold in like an hour

In Australia we have fridges that we plug into our cars ans thats what we all use. Then you dont have to worry about ice or anything.

I have a buddy here that does a similar thing, except he uses a chest freezer. Gets it cold enough and then shuts it off. He only runs it if it needs to be colder. But once it is filled with meat he's heading home anyway so not a big deal.

I can't fit a fridge or chest freezer big enough to hold an elk in the back of my pickup. No problem fitting coolers to hold everything, and no problem keeping ice for 2 weeks without worrying about running the truck or generator. Putting an elk quarter in a contractor bag and submerging it in ice water cools it down faster than any of my freezer / fridges too - heat transfer is much better.

i have a pelican and in my experience it is the best cooler i have ever used

hold ice for as long as i need it.

with that said i want another cooler and like the price of the siberian coolers i see, look a little less expensive than the pelicans

matt1glenn,, what kind of hook up you have???
