What’s the best advice you’ve been given?

Don't ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone for any reason ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been... ever, for any reason whatsoever...

Don’t assume the deer will be where you think the deer should be. They have their own reasons for why they do what they do and look at the world differently than we do.

There’s so much to learn out there in this industry and people have a lot of knowledge that can benefit others both new and seasoned. I got the idea for this thread thanks to the popular “unpopular opinions” that has been recently started in this forum. Hunting, fishing, backpacking, hiking, camping, etc. what’s the one piece of advice you’ve been told that sticks with you the most or something recently that you’ve been taught that can benefit others.

Mine was simple but very true for when I did my first non resident Wyoming pronghorn hunt, don’t shoot the first decent pronghorn you see on the first day. They weren’t joking as the chances of finding a nice pronghorn was high due to the insane amount of them in the area we hunted.
I’m thinking your best advice would have been to tell us where the spot you were hunting is. Just saying 😁
