I have a Winchester model 70 featherweight in 270 wsm with about 500 rounds down the tube. Spiral fluting, muzzle break, black ceracote, and bedding done by kampfeld customs. Roughly 350 once fired brass mostly nosler and some Winchester with about 80 unfired various rounds and a DNZ game reaper 30 mm scope mount/rings. What would fair asking price be?

Is it a New Haven, BACO, or Portuguese made gun? Also what brand barrel is on it? Sounds like a neat rifle. For whatever reason the WSMs seem to go for less $$ in these than other calibers. I have a 300WSM that I love.

It’s an FN model, factory barrel, my whole family shoots and reloads for 7rm so I’m looking to go that route.

$700-800 with all of the extras would be my guess. Maybe a bit more for someone it clicks with. None of the work you had done added value and probably detracted some. Sorry, that's the penalty of custom work on a factory rifle. People either love it or wonder if you have a mental issue. It's still a used M70 Featherweight with some lipstick.

Brand new that rifle is $950.

Really? I figured the brass alone would be worth a few hundred bucks.
You're honestly better off selling that separately. It is worth that, but package deals imply discount, IMO. Or offer it as an extra add on for $XXX.

This is just what I have seen, and done. You can always post it for more, and see. I have been wrong in the past, and may be on the low side in today's market. I don't think that I'm far off.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I’ll more than likely just do another round of reloading and shoot it for this season and cross this bridge in the winter/spring. Hell I might be halfway through the barrel life and just get it rebarrelled for the bigger .277 bullets and have a couple grains capacity on the 6.8 western. Thanks again!
