What's in your kill kit?

I'm sure this has been done before, but what's in your kill kit? What do you change based on species? Are there any things that you particularly like having even though they may not be really necessary?

It’s been discussed a bunch, the search bar helps. For a direct answer,
Knife/extra blades, zip tie or tape depending what state-for attaching tag, sharpie, game bags.
The only thing that changes is what size game bags for the species I'm hunting, and the tape or zip tie for attaching the tag-state dependent.

I try to not change it.. this year I realized I was missing my electrical tape. Thankfully my buddy had his for securing the tag.

All that I change is the game bag size I carry.

Knives, tape, zip ties, 50 feet of paracord, a large black trash bag, exam gloves, small sharpening stone.

I just ordered a set of Wiser Precision pulleys. After my deer this year it would have been a difficult time managing it solo. Having some micro pulleys may be beneficial.

Havalon and blades, small folding knife for knees, pen, licenses and tags, flagging tape, surveyor twine, all vac sealed. Game gags, vac sealed. All of it in a small nylon roll top bag.

Game bags, one contractor bag, havalon blades and 550 paracord. Nothing changes between species for me. All in a kifaru pullout. Tag in my wallet, knife in my bino harness.

Plus

Writing pen of each type, sharpie, havalon barracuta w/2x of each blade, nitrile gloves x8, Ziploc bags for trash, one fixed blade (or more), 2mm cord, tiny hand sanitizer.

Graksaw game bags in separate thing.

I been packing my kill kit pretty much same way for 25 years all species ( deer, elk , sheep, pronghorn)
1. A extra moraknifv carbon steel , besides the spyderco in my pocket
2.small 1st aid kit ( assorted bandages and burn cream, neosporne )
3 pen & roll electric tape
4 rolled up contractor bag
5 pack of cigarettes
6 lighter
7 fire starter ( piece of fat wood & candle)
6. 5 pack of extra cartridges
7. Headlamp + extra aaa battery
8. Crock stick
Forgot a miniature pack of hand wipes & couple of paper towels

Sterilising wipes, hook to hang deer – off my own design – all held in this kifaru pull out.

Snyder is the first person I heard call it a kill kit. Did we call it a kill kit before him? I guess I didn't manscape until him. Or eat buttholes.

And for those that don't know, I'm not making fun of him. It's a sandwich he coined the name for.

I’m very curious why people are packing nomex/ latex gloves?
What diseases are people catching from wild game ?
I have never caught anything while cleaning my game
But have caught diseases from insects like ticks and Mosquitos and spider bites ( black widow)

Super easy clean up, pop the gloves off and most of the mess is gone.

Lots of places i hunt have minimal water and you have to give up a bunch of elevation to get it.

Guiding- havalon, tiny gerber saw, small fixed blade and sharpener, still have old electrical tape as some of my hunters use paper tags still, contractor bag.

Personally- havalon, gerber saw, 30-50 of p cord, game bags, one big contractor bag.

This is separate from first aid kit

I've heard it as a suggestion in case of contact with spinal fluid. Just a preventative to something that hasn't happened yet but a just in case it could jump species.

For me it's just a nice to have and weighs practically nothing. Not something I use every time.

-Easier to clean up.
-Keeps your hands dry in zero or sub zero Temps.
-Keeps open cuts clean and protected.

While field dressing a deer in sub-freezing temps this year, the gloves helped my hands not freeze too bad. Also, there are a couple types that are cut resistant, so they serve multiple purposes. They are light and easy to pack, so no problems with carrying.

Two knives, game bags, paracord, crazy elk tag pouch, textured nitrile gloves, a couple packs of firestarter fiber, bic lighter, tag, blaze orange meat cloth that can also serve as a sight cloth coming back in.
