What’s everyone’s favorite squirrel recipe?

quarter squirrels and line a piece of foil with bacon. double wrap and toss two packs in campfire. fish one pack out for dinner and the other for breakfast.

My grandmother and mother used to make squirrel pie for me when I was younger. Basically a chicken pot pie substituted with squirrel meat that had been picked off the bone after boiling. I got tired of skinning squirrels by the time I was in college and haven’t had a squirrel pie in 25 years.

Not really a fan of skwurl but some of these sound pretty good.

I've been putting a couple of squirrels (whole) in the smoker for a couple hours seasoned to preference. After smoking put them in a slow cooker for a couple hours in chicken broth.

Pull the meat apart and use like smoked chicken for sandwiches or in fajitas.

Squirrel added to loaded baked potato soup for 2 hours and then add crumbled bacon and shredded colby on top.
