Bohning Tex Tite at home and Sno Seal when I am on a back pack trip since I carry a very small tin of it to touch up the boot toes as they need it. The Sno Seal works well as it penetrates the string.

I make my own. One pound of beeswax and one wax toilet ring. I have enough to outfit a medival British army. But it works great. Just the right amount of tackiness.

Interesting combo. How'd you come up with it?

Found it on one of the archery boards a while back. Texture and feel is just the same as the commercial stuff like. A harder wax and you cut down on the toilet gasket and a increase beeswax. A softer wax you increase the toilet gasket and decrease the beeswax. The one ring and one pound of wax seems to be a great recipe.
