Ul9 Synmat , WM Kodiak , and a Kifaru Sawtooth and large Wifi stove. No bivys to condensate in and no tyvek to keep my pad clean. I'm hunting the Montana rifle season.

Here is another option to think about. Last year I used two pieces of a cut foam pad as a simple barrier between my sleeping pad (Xlite behind my buddy in the picture) and the ground. We carried these cut pads as a nice way to pad and insulate while sitting and glassing in the wet and cold. You can kind of see that he had a Tyvek sheet under his pad. We used my Tyvek sheet to collect snow so the cut pads worked fine. They aren't absolutely necessary but I like having something there when possible just to reduce abrasion and the risk of puncture from some little rock or stick.

I have an EE 20 degree quilt, looking at an Xtherm pad, all in a TiGoat ptarmigan bivy. Seems like a fairly light bivy for a decent price. Anyone have any experience with them?

I have the same quilt, BA pad, and Ti-Goat Raven bivy. Very light. Very happy.
