What size belt pouch for a Kifaru pack

What size belt pouch do you like on the Kifaru packs?

I have tried a large (its all I own) but probably want something a bit smaller.

So Med, Small or the tiny one?

What do you like to have accessible on your belt?

I use a medium on both sides. I keep my rangefinder and a headlamp on one side, and my Leatherman, a rolll of Leukotape, some T.P. and a few protein bars in the other.

I think mediums work perfectly on the belt. Not so big that you can overload them and weigh yourself down, but not so small that you can't fit anything that should go on a belt or that you have to fumble with in the dark. I have smalls on my 14'r but they fit that belt better. Some guys run a water bottle and the smaller one as a set.

I normally have a medium on the left and a mini long and nalgene on the right, sometimes I have a large on the left. I don't like the small, I like to be able to rummage around without fear of stuff jumping out of the pocket, plus I put all the stuff in there at night that I don't want to leave camp without the next morning, like tab, calls, gloves etc.. so some extra room is nice. If you haven't tried using a nalgene bottle to hydrate from, it's so much better than using a Camelback, easier to get a good drink, easier to use supplement powder and clean afterwards etc. Good Luck!

Small for me. I just wouldn't want anything bigger than that on my waist belt. Rugged Sticking (pods) is making me a top zip one to better fit the tappered pals webbing on the Kifaru belt.

this. you can fit a surprising amount of stuff in a medium. for instance, i can fit a pair of 8x42 binos and my rangefinder in one. no way i would carry those on my belt but it gives you the idea.

A medium is about the same height as the belt. Perfect size for me. I have a medium on one side, nalgene and bear spray on the other side.

I prefer a small on the belt on one side, and a nalgene on the other, with mediums on the bag. I also don't carry a lot on my belt though. Never tried a large before.

i do a medium on one side and nalgene and the mini on the other. the mini is good for my steripen and ill end up putting drink mixes in there too. the medium is a good size for calls, phone(GPS), and some other items in. i havent used my pack too much yet, maybe 3 days but i know im gonna like having that kind of stuff within easy reach.

The new Smalls are decent size. I like them on the belt. I have a KU large and it is a bit too large for the belt in my opinion.
