What shooting position were you in for your last shot at an elk?

I'm planning on a lot more practice from different shooting positions this year. Prone was not an option for my shot this year. Curious what positions others ended up shooting from this year.

All of my rifle elk over 25 year span were all off hand (max about 225 yards), and all of my bow shots have been standing. And actually, a couple of those rifle shots were from off a horse.

I'd be quite proud of my self if I felt like I could pull off a 225 yard shot off hand, going to take a lot more practice.

It does take practice. My last two deer were 195 and 185. Offhand

Sitting / crouching using SG frame pack for rest. Not the most stable, but able to put a 12 gauge slug in a bull at 200 yards
