Looking for a recommendation for a brand of rings and bases for my new Tikka that is on the way. I will be putting a Nikon Monarch 3 4-16x44 on it that I am moving from a T/C Venture. It currently has Leupold rings on the T/C I believe. Should I just re-use those rings and get some bases for it or is there a better option out there. Thanks in advance.

I have a 7mm-08 t3x on the way and I'm planning on going with a DNZ game reaper. It's light and sturdy being one piece. Had one on my Savage and liked it alot.

OK so I just checked those out and they look pretty slick. How do you determine what size you need? I see they have 4 different heights. Pretty pumped about the new rifle. Bought it from Whitakker guns for a smoking deal which was posted here.

+1 on the DNZ.

I did the lows with a 40 mm scope and caps. You should be able to get by with the lows with 44 but don't hold me to it!

MY preference is a Mountain Tactical alloy rail (ultra light and made for the T3 with a recoil lug machined for the recess on the bridge, there is no other scope mount made that is this secure, you may not need it but if you do you'll wish you'd done it straightaway -

I like Leupold PRW rings but they are steel but still lightweight - there are aluminum rings from Vortex, Leupold, and numerous other sources as well - DNZ are very well made mounts but you are still dependant on 6/48 screws

Thanks for the heads up on that.

Fyi...Mountain Tactical have some on clearance right now as cosmetic blems at a $10 discount.

Deadnutz Gamereaper low on a T3 with a Nikon Monarch 3-12 fits perfectly with just enough room for scope caps.

What are thoughts on the Warne Maxima rings? Also for the Mountain tactical rail what is the difference between the 20 MOA and 0 MOA rail?

the 20 moa sits at an angle to accommodate long range hold over - Warne products are hell for stout, there's just a weight penalty for that, they probably have an alloy version that I'm not familiar with, I don't even know if they're still based in Milwaukie OR, that's how "current" I am ....
