The sig rf are known for being pretty good and fast. I've got s kilo3k and it does well with the AB lite. When I link to my kestrel it still run smooth. Rf binos are pretty awesome though. Haven't used my regular rangefinder much except for bow hunting since ive got my rf bino

no experience with the revic mentioned above, so I won’t opine there.

Electronics are consumables. They WILL fail, they WILL go down at some point. It’s not if, it’s when. And when they do, customer support is a big deal. Maven and Vortex have a lifetime guarantee on their electronics, and not everyone does. To me, that peace of mind on a product with a very finite lifespan means a lot.

I’ve heard, from sources with borderline zero authority, that vortex SUPPOSEDLY poached one of Leica’s lead rangefinder designers/engineers, and that’s where their new rangefinder lines came from was that guy. I have no clue if it’s true, but I don’t care, because ours have been great. My dad has the Razor 4k, I have the Viper 3k, and a brother and a cousin both have the Diamondback 2k since they were released in 2022. We’ve been impressed with the speed, accuracy, and consistency unit to unit and line to line. They all read the same distance when the same items are ranged, and they all come back lightning fast. They have been across the West, hunting and shooting in all types of field conditions and weather conditions. They work in heat and subzero, dry and wet, in field and on range, and any failures to perform were due to the fact that batteries were dead, or the distances were beyond the capabilities of the rangefinders (all of which have surpassed the advertised maximum rangeable distances). I can’t say the same about our Kahles units, or Sigs, or even an old Vortex Ranger 1800, all of which were GROSSLY underwhelming and underperforming (especially the Kahles and Sig units).

To clarify, I’m not a vortex fanboy. My RF is one of 2 remaining vortex optics in my gear load out (the other being a pair of discontinued Vulture 15’s I use every now and again, maybe one hunt per year). I don’t use any other vortex products with any type of consistency. But I’ll happily use and recommend their rangefinders.

I snagged the 4000 GB this year and it is impressive! Barbour Creek shooting school has a YouTube review on it as well.

No experience with the others but I really like my Sig Kilo 5K for the money. The BDX/AB app is super easy to use and has been very accurate with powder temp input tested in widely different environments. The only thing about the Sig's is they're known to eat batteries if left in the unit while dormant, so I pull mine and keep a spare in my pack. Otherwise, been flawless.

My drama with the Leica is if you also archery hunt it’s angle compensated mode will first flash the LOS distance then 3 seconds later it will flash the angle compensated distance.

Some of the fancier models of Leica have fixed this but not all.

Had a sig 2k that was not treated very nice. It put up a damn good fight though :ROFLMAO:

In the market for a new one as well.

Hows the maven do with clouds, fog, and rain?

What ever has best glass and coatings, and that eliminates sig and vortex. Nothing worse in being able to see an animal with bino’s and spotter but cant see it in your sig hand held

I prefer the viper 3000 to the 4000. Both 7x. But the 4000 is a pig and doesn’t fit nicely in hip pouches or jacket pockets. It’s also slower response.

I have the Razor 4000 GB and I like it, it is able to get a range way past 2000 yards on trees and I like having a full ballistic calculator and atmospherics and not be capped at 800 yards like AB Lite.

I've got a Leupold rx1400i. It's great, no complaints. Got it for around $150 on sale, used it for archery and rifle hunting. I set up a ballistic profile for one of my rifles and it does an excellent job providing accurate corrections for me.
