Just changed the mods on my V3 31 form 70 lbs 85% let off to 70 lbs 80% let off. I was surprised on how much more holding weight it was. What are you guys shooting and why?

Depends on the bow.

Hunting bow is 80ish, indoor bow is 67%, outdoor bow is 75 or so. Both target bows are around 16.5# holding weight. I need to play with the hunting bow and get the holding weight up on it. Be nice to have off the shelf 75% SW mods.

I’m currently about 85, but I’m considering going to 80 to see if it helps me aim better with slower/less pin movement.

Same bow and poundage and stayed with the 85% for comfort and just in case I need to wait something out. Last season I shot the month before the season with the 80 then go back to the 85 for hunting.

I am at 80% and 67 Lb Draw weight and like it. I like a little more letoff weight as it helps keep everything aligned. The higher letoff you have the easier it is to tweak the string etc.

90% with the Bomar draw stops for my hunting setup. Almost feels locked up when you have to let down, but nice when you have to hold for an extra amount of time.

I have a Hoyt ventum 80 & 85% options. There’s not much change in poundage but I did feel a little less “wiggle” at full draw at 80. So I’m sticking with it.

I will always try and tune my bows to have a holding weight of 15 lbs or more even if it's a 60 lb bow. More holding weight the steadier you will be and more dynamic of a shot you will create.
