What ladder stand?

I always looked for the cheapest man and a half seat and put a good cushion in it. Love the extra seat room. If you bow hunt out of them don't put the shooting rail on.

I haven’t purchased a ladder stand in a few years, but I would recommend buying one that contacts the tree in 2 places. Meaning the “back rest” and platform both contact the tree. These are far more stable than the stands with just the back rest or seat attaching to the tree. My older stands that I like are Big Game tree stands. I’m not sure what their current product line looks like though.

I just bought a Hawk Big Denali 1.5 man. Was a pain in the ass to assemble and get in the tree but man, now that it’s in there it’s super comfortable and gonna be a joy to hunt out of. I usually just buy the cheapo 15’ ladder stands and bring a seat cushion.

Been trying to buy a Family Traditions stand as I prefer made in USA. May just buy their ladder and hang a Lone Wolf stand using it.

I’m in the market for 3-4 ladder stands. What is everyone using and how do you like them? 15-20’ tall should be plenty high
Foot stool and boat cushion sitting with a big tree in front of my face looking up wind is all you need. Can’t see you move, can’t smell you.
I do have stands as well but after a couple of days I move to where the sign is or guess.
public land hunting deer disappear quick.
Often I sit in heavy cover cuz bucks are bashful and for close shots.
these days in Minnesota most people are in Heated shack stands and can’t adjust but oh well.

I’m down to only couple but I really like the Milleniums. Those seats on a long sit are worth every penny

I just bought a cheap Big Game 1.5 and was surprised at the quality for the price.

Old school stand with birchbark camo.

I like having the extra room so I either go with a 1.5 man stand or a double. I like the Hawk stands and Millenium stands. I look at tit like this. The more comfortable I am the longer I can sit and sit still being quiet as possible.

No lie, when I started hunting you climbed the tree like a monkey and sat on a limb, or you built one out of 2x4's and nails.
The serious hunters had pole climbing spikes they used to get up there.
Nowadays a ladder stand or shooting house is about the only way I'll hunt off the ground.
