What is your favorite long range rifle setup?

Definitely my 300 Norma Improved’s. Easy to load for sure and lots of long range killing power.

First one was 9.4 lbs

Then I went with a steel barrel and heavier scope to weigh it down a little more. To 10.5 lbs.

And this year I’ll be using a whole new build with steel barrel, steel actin, and adjustable stock for a finish weight of about 11.8lbs

The bronze spiral fluted one is a 9 twist Bartlein and it’s been hammering lately. Took a little while to smooth out though (I could feel some roughness during cleaning for a little while).

On my new rifle with the black steel barrel, that’s a Benchmark 9.5 twist Med Palma and I haven’t shot it yet!

Remington 700 custom, 280AI,

280 Ack imp (40 degree) on a blueprinted 700 with 25 inch Walther #4 match barrel 1/9 twist. Action and barrel ceracoated in titanium gray. Barrel has been threaded 5/8x24 with knurled thread protector. Action is bedded in a HS precision gray speckled stock with Right hand palm swell. Check weld is built up under the slip on shell holder. Scope is a Vortex 5-15 HST, MIL/MIL. The gun comes in right at 10ths scoped, it’s 8lbs-14oz with no scope.

My long range setup:

Blaser R8 300 Win Mag in a GRS BiFrost stock topped with a Swarovski DS 5-25 scope. I still need to buy a Spartan bipod to replace the Harris..

Weatherby MkV in 300PRC with an NX8.

Started life as a Japanese MkV classic mark in 300 Weatherby. Brought it to Aaron Roberts and had him on put on a 24” Proof barrel, cerakote, and glass bed it in an AG chalk branch.

Sending 230 Bergers at 2917fps with n570. Group was at 600.

I'm finally getting my ol' reliable up and running again after years. I got caught up in experimenting with new gun stuff and moved away from a proven system which was dumb. I'm just now getting it all put back together and operational. I'm especially happy about the Huber trigger getting up and running again, best I've ever used by far. I still have a Mausingfield/Proof carbon rifle as well but I don't like it as much as this one.

R700 action trued and barreled with a 18" Bartlein by RW Snyder
Nightforce SHV 5-20 in ARC rings (or Vortex LHT 4.5-22, I have both but still deciding which goes on this rifle)
Huber two-stage trigger
TBAC Ultra-9
KRG Bravo with full length RRS rail on it with the R-lock detents
Atlas CAL bipod with RRS arca adapter on it that also locks into the R-lock detents

Probably a stupid question, but what is needed to convert my tikka t3x light from 7mm rem mag to 7mm prc? Is it just a barrel swap? Also, how do you like the stockys stocks compared to the oem tikka stock?

Yes, just a barrel swap. The belted mag magazine should feed the PRC.

I still use the Rem700LA action from the first rifle my dad bought me. It's still a 7mm Rem Mag but cut with my reamer into a Krieger barrel CF wrapped by Frozen Fiber, sitting in a Manners LRH with Hawkins Oberndorf bottom metal and modified inlet Area419 ARCALOK rail. If I'm shooting a can, it wears a ATACR 7-35x but if I'm not allowed a can it is a Area419 Sidewinder and balances out with a NX8 4-32x.
