What is the single most important thing you will do in 2025 to enjoy your time outside more?

I have a range about 10 minutes down the road that holds a huge PRS match every month. I got a membership and have been trying to go shoot weekly. Really great obstacles and ranges to shoot at, I can already tell my wind calling abilities are better. I’ll compete a bit as well, it’s just too fun. IMG_6069.jpeg

The single most important thing I will do to enjoy my time outdoors is simply....
Stay single.

I've decided I am giving up on women for the summer. Shooting for spring bear, fall hunting, summer fly fishing pack trips and on that note, at least 450 miles horseback this year. I'll be hunting for morels, sheds, and what's over the next mountain.

Like the title says--what is the SINGLE most important thing you are going to do in 2025 to enjoy your overall time outside more? Could be anything from trying new things, going new places, staying closer to home or traveling, or could be new gear, or NOT using some gear (phone, etc).

For me It's continuing to dive into things I'm a beginner at, I'm enjoying the steep learning curve.
My kids are getting old enough to go hunting so taking them will definitely be #1 for many years to come

I mean…it just seems excessive. Isnt there some sort of compromise solution short of giving them up entirely?

I wish I knew the guy well enough to joke with him, I’d say something like with your looks you need every opportunity you can get, or conversely, maybe the women are giving you up.

But I don’t know how he’d take it, so I won’t.

Well, I did ask for SINGLE solutions, he just interpreted the question more literally I guess.

Just put my 11 year old son through Hunter's Ed. He'll be in the duck blind this season!

My luck with women hasn't been very good lately. Two dumped me. One because our vision of the future didn't align, the other because she was.....well hell, I don't even know how to describe her!!. I dumped the most recent one. She was a stage 4 clinger. I couldn't get away fast enough. I'm going to take a break and focus on the fun stuff every attached guy wishes he could do more of. BUT if the right one came along, who am I to turn away fate!! ;-)

Fire away!!! I've got thick skin. At 54 and divorced, I'm more interested in doing all the hunting, fishing and riding I couldn't do when I was married.

For me I’ll say it’s staying sober. I’m proud to say I’ve been sober for 5 months now and it’s put me in such a better mental state and has really allowed me to enjoy my time outdoors more than I ever have. This is also comes with the added benefit of feeling better physically so I’m much more consistent in the gym.
