What is "the" 308 win load?

150 or 165 Accubonds and Varget or RL15 is all we use in our four .308's We shoot Ballistic tips in the off-season to stay in-tune as they are much cheaper and then final sight in with the Accubonds right before season starts again

168 ELD-M or 175 TMK. Deader than dead.
Would you mind expanding a bit on your hunting experiences with the 175 tmk in .308? It sounds like it's very deadly. (can't get any deadlier than deader than dead after all : )

Real world experiences with the 175 tmk are hard for me to come by for some reason, seems like everyone and their sister is using the 168.

Do you see much of a poi change between those two?

Been killing elk with all manner of rifles/calibers since the 90’s. Decided to do it with a 16” 308 AR while I was in the Marines. Felt natural. The short barrel pushed me to the slicker TMK. 3 elk I killed with it spent less than 30 seconds on their feet after impact, combined. I don’t open the body cavity to poke around but they were all very sloshy. And all that to say, I’ll be in the 168 camp this year after finding a factory load that all 3 of my 308 rifles love. Anticipating identically quick kills.

My Tikka likes 150gn Accubonds and 46 grains of Varget.
Trying to find a load for the 130 ttsx not there yet.

I'm sure you'll continue to make slushies out of elk vitals with the 168's.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Anybody shot the 168 Superformance ELD M factory loads much? On game?
My Proof barreled Tikka .308 seems to like em.

175 has had very effective terminal results out to 650Y launched at 2670fps (duplicated multiple times). Have not tried anything further yet as this becomes a novelty shot for me and have not had an appropriate situation to experiment. I have not played with the 168 just because the 175 is so effective and lets me do target practice to 1000y.
Its the only projectile I now use and they also hold together well for close up stuff.
