46.5 gr of Varget and various 150/155's have been great for me in multiple .308's. The 46.5 gr and 150 Ballistic Tip has shot under MOA in every .308 I've shot it through.

I'm also torn on this. I was always an accubond guy, though due to limited availability, I hesitantly switched to 168 berger this year. 3 bang flops on deer so far, a little much on meat damage but it is what it is. Not sold on them as my go to, but they work.

My gut says accubond, but for half the cost, ten times more availible, and all the praise on here recently in smaller calibers, I'm curious how well 155 or 168 eldm stacks up as a do all deer/elk bullet.

Would be very interested in anyone's experience with 308 eldm on game.

165 grain bullet over 45 ish grains of Varget or 43.5 grains of 8208 in commercial brass. My preferred bullet would be Sierra TGK, Nosler BT, Nosler Accubond.

If you want to replicate the devastation of the 223/77 TMK try the 125gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip over a max load of AA 2460.

I have read a few times the 168 AMAX is decent which is effectively same thing as ELDM from what I understand. What version of the berger did you use?

I’ve never looked at a 125gr NBT for a 308. What kind of velocity are you guys getting?

The 308 projectiles that are in the same vein as the above are the 168 and 178gr ELD-M, and the 168 and 175gr TMK’s.
Are you preffering the ELD-M over the TMK for the 308? Or stating that all 4 will produce similar results? Thanks.

All four will be similar with the TMK’s penetrating a bit deeper.

i bought nosler 165 grain ballistic tip for deer size stuff, and nosler trophy grade 165 accubond for elk size stuff. ballistics are exactly the same per the box, and hotter than most other stuff I could find. luckily my rifle seems to like the ballistic tips, havnt shot the accubond yet

This out of my begara .308. No issues but I don’t shoot very long range.

It is important for this conversation the 165 and 168 NBT are not the same. The 168 has a thicker jacket and is less destructive or soft.
Yep. It’s stout but opens pretty good at slow velocities from an 18” AR, left a blood trail Ray Charles could follow. Impact was at 230+ yards. I have them loaded in a 30-06 at 2960fps and am waiting for an opportunity to shoot a deer at 500 yards to see how they perform.
