It does seem to feel alot like the shilling of Arken stuff from a couple of years ago.
That being said, it also does seem legit. Less recoil than 7PRC, matches or beats 7PRC trajectory with a significantly shorter barrel, smaller diameter than 7PRC so should be able to fit 1 more in most mags.
No difference in firearms, the case holds the pressure, not the firearm.
They say reloading is coming. The main reloading difference according to the videos ive watched is only the neck will need to be resized. No trimming. There are currently available powders that work, normal primers. I dont think ive heard anything about the ability or need to anneal but in one of the videos the Federal rep said they will give guidance on case life in the future. He wasnt sure on where that would land but he mentioned 5-7 reloads. I dont think ive heard anything about new case availability. Also he said that for now, only the polished cases will be recommended for reloading(out of the current offerings anything but the Fusion cases can be reloaded)
It truly is a significant step forward, not just a small improvement on what already exists. Im most looking forward to what comes next. 30BC, 6.5BC, 6BC, 22BC, etc
I know 7mm is popular, but it does seem a bit odd to start there to me. Maybe they chose it based on least crowding of other cartridges.
