What hunting rig are you running/how do you use it

We took my buddies f250 with a topper this year.. he had the decked drawers then a memory foam pad over the top. Plenty of room and super easy to just move spots

No but if you search for “ over landing forums” you should be able to get some decent info. I forget the name of the big forum but they have sections just for different vehicles

My current hunting rig is also a daily driver that gets conscripted into service. '14 Subaru Forester. It's been a great vehicle as well. Bought with 115k and currently at 182k. Been as far as WY and to plenty of places here in NC including the OBX.

I've been looking at trucks though. Probably at some point this year I'll finally move into the truck zone. Still gonna be a daily though and not a dedicated hunting rig. One step at a time.

Man, I miss not caring about anything and just hunting. This post reminded me of that. Just taking what you have and making it work! Now I apparently need “gear” so dumb. Thanks for the post buddy!

Added a bumper and an old winch. Tossed in the winter tool box. Dicked with the suspension a lil as well. Still need to re-do the bump stops

This poor Jeep has been hammered on but regular maintenance and keeping suspension components up to torque spec and greased has been a proven recipe for success. The places this thing has been able to get into/up/over/down is seriously impressive for not being a dedicated "wheeling" rig.

Re-Geared

I take it out usually 5 early mornings or evenings per week into the desert/canyons/mountains that are within 15 minutes from my house. Most of it's time is spent on canal roads, wash-boarded dirt/farm roads where I live, and off road getting to shooting/scouting/hunting spots year round. Quiet/AC/Heat drive it on the highway at 80 MPH, while still being able to remove the top/doors when needed/wanted is the way.
