Well, figured I'd ask since there's also a thread about tool boxes.

I own a boat on tires, a 17' F250 long bed. It's my daily which means my daily work rig and hunting rig. I'm wanting to get a canopy for it to use to store all my construction equipment instead of in my back seat or hauling a 14ft trailer around.

I'll be getting a bed slide as well, curious on brands? I'm so far kinda leaning towards Leer DCC, with at least a side tool box, that way I still have room if I want to sleep in the bed for hunting or any weekend coyote hunting trips. I just don't know of what I should be looking for, good companies to go with or the works. Suggestions?

I have a basic Leer on my F150.
Next one will have a raised roof because I built a sleeping platform and it would work better with more headroom.
Best add-on is having your keyfob remote wired in to the canopy lock-absolute game changer.

I have a Snugtop on my current truck.

Don’t know how much difference there is across brands. Absolutely get the windoors on the sides. Other than that I’m of the KISS camp. No remote locks or anything like that.

Have a Leer cab height on my long bed F250, I was able to find a color matched one fairly cheap on marketplace. If you don't mind the look I would recommend a high or mid rise shell over the cab height. I'd look into a carpet headliner in it if you'll be sleeping in it. Also the overhead light when the canopy door is open is a nice touch. I have not wired in my remote lock yet, but I'm getting tired of dealing with the key lock so it's coming soon.
