Yes, I live in the very left leaning state of Oregon, but in all reality it is not much different than any other state. I may be getting hosed on issues A & B, but in a conservative state someone is getting hosed on issues C & D. The reality is the government is not here to help you, they are not for the good of all the people, and if you think a congressman will help you because of the R or D next to their name then God help you.
