What do you listen to music on when your hiking?

We just had a brown bear maul a 25 year old lady while she was jogging yesterday. I don't know if it would have changed anything or not, but she was listening to music while jogging down a road on our AF/Army base.

When I'm doing training hikes here local I often listen to audio books on my iPhone................. but never while backpacking, hiking or hunting

James, I'm not one to listen to a lot of music out hunting, but I do find the FM receiver on my Sansa MP3 handy for listening to the local news & weather forecasts back at camp. Nice to keep up on the World Series during elk season too.
Anyway, doesn't weigh much and can record voice messages should I get mauled by a bear or bigfoot and need to leave that last I Love You message and combo to the gun safe. he, he.
