I haven't shot my bow much this summer, just been too busy to dedicate time to that. But I shot three arrows yesterday at 40 (fixed BH, mechanical, and FP) and both the fixed and mechanical were an inch and a half right of FP. So I loosened my rest and bumped it like 1/64" and shot again. Now they are both 4" lower and even further right than FP's. So I reset it to where it was and they're all back like the first group. I guess I'll try a little yoke tuning and my 40 yard BS's as well.

Shot about 30 arrows today, got introduced to pickleball so that may make for a fun evening of working out.

Was curious how well my bow was tuned after adjusting my rest. Shot through paper and learned I'm applying too much pressure on my anchor point.

Good news is my bow is tuned. Bad news is I need to work more on my form.

Moved my bedded buck target to where I can shoot 10 yards off my roof. Interesting times there

Activated the new Zoleo. No problems. My wife got the app as well so we can communicate reliably.

Cleaned out a corner of the garage to use for stockpiling this Falls equipment. We have a lot planned, gonna need some gear.

Rough day today. Feeling like I let myself down with shitty shooting when trying to dial in my bow before my season starts (heading out two weeks from Monday). I'm not chasing antelope this year since I figured I needed more time to prep due to my new obligations of fatherhood. That said, it still feels like an overwhelming scramble to get everything ready in time.

Finally got around to BH tuning. In my defense, I've been busy and my local range only allows broadheads at certain times for tuning.

There was a 20 MPH wind right to left. BHs were impacting to the left of field points (4-6'' at 40 yards). I did have some shots that were good left/right but low (I felt my bow arm drop on these, so that's on me).

After talking to myself, I moved back to 50 because I figured I had nothing to lose and focused on my shot execution. I ended up boring out a hole in the middle of my block target (luckily I have another one that's new). I also focused on the wind and executing a shot in the times where it died down. I did have one shot that went way left, but for the most part I started to hit what I was aiming at with BHs. This was with two different arrows, both impacting right in the middle of my aimpoint at 50. My last shot nailed a 3'' sticker target at 50.

Local shop has a BH tuning session Monday night. I'm thinking the culprit for the misses was likely me or the wind (or both). Come to think of it, whenever I've shot out to longer distances (80+) I tend to always miss left, so I'm hoping I can chalk things up to a bad day that I can later forget about.

What made things even more fun is that I managed to have a water bottle fall onto my bow from a picnic table as I was getting ready to leave. Looked everything over and everything seems fine, but I guess we'll see Monday.

Walked 3 1/2 flight of stairs with the pack on. Did two hours of research and decided to buy another pack that was 9oz lighter to save weight. Mixed my regular to Coke with some Diet Coke to help cut back on some calories.

Squared a dozen arrow shafts and epoxied a dozen HITs into my new BE Rampages. Got my IW collars delivered Friday as well.

Tomorrow will be a bs paper tuning day.

Shot about 20 arrows this morning. Going to hit the gym later today.
Also got a bunch of strap keepers that I'll be adding to my pack to hopefully clean up some of the hanging straps.

No shooting for a week or so. Tendinitis is back in my drawing elbow. No issues though, shooting is the least of my problems

Shoot 40 arrows in the morning and evening. Walk the dog with a 75lb pack morning and evening. Gym in the afternoon, always starts with 30min on the stair stepper. Non stop stuff around the house to get the points up with the wife. Started planning my food (your boy always eats good in the backcountry).

Not allowed to enter the USA at the minute, was really hoping Joe would open up.

We were supposed to fly on the13th Sept, if we hadnt took the flight refund we would have only got a voucher to be used in 6 months, which would have been no good to us.

MTN Tough Week 5, Day 1 in the books. 25 arrows this morning at varying ranges from 30-50 yds and will launch at least 25 more this evening. Starting to smell elk boys...or at least I think I am, but here in Texas probably not.

Shooting. Working. Gonna do some painting and fine tuning of stuff this weekend. Leave in six days. Nothing ready except my bow, backpack, optics, and truck. The rest is just fluff anyway. 🤡
