What did you do in the reloading room today?

Loaded some 223 with 77 TMK and 243 with 107 TMK. Slightly adjusted Form's 223 load as I went to 2.33 instead of 2.26. I adjusted the 243's to 2.933 instead of the 2.941. Probably going to lengthen both some the next time.

Just finished fire forming 100 rounds of lapua brass to 300 NM Imp.

Prepped and primed, ready for a ladder test.

Also been playing with some 6.5 manbun, a parts gun that I finished earlier this year.

Pictured below is a before and after for the 300 NM Imp with 245 EOLs and a six-five manbun for comparison.

Been shooting a whole lot, sat down and sized 500 pieces of 223 today and loaded up 150 of them. Hoping to get the rest loaded the next few evenings.

This was yesterday, but I think it still counts. ;)

Loaded up 50 fire-forming rounds for my new to me 30-30AI Contender barrel. The frame should be at my FFL on Wednesday and the new grips will be here tomorrow.

I need to figure out which can to put on it. You would not believe the looks you get at the range when you show up with a 12-14" barrelled Contender with a can on it. It gets even better when you consistently hit the 6" gong at the 300 yard range.

Not sure yet, anything over 2800 will work for me.

I ran it to 2850 with H1k while fire forming at 84 grains.

Going to run a ladder next week with N568.

Cleaned the room. My gun room looks like Forms trailer. Probably worse same with my bench.

Also took my kids Savage Rascal and gave it the Rokslide treatment. Found some firm form and built up the cheek rest for him. With the dot on a rail it sits up really high. Yesterday he was having a hard time keeping his face on the gun. Then skate taped the forend sides for him.

Haha UM should make a mini rokstok for this gun with spacers

Decent little 6 ARC load for the 18” Tikka. 95 TMK, Virgin Starline/BR4, 1.670 CBTO, 2.255 COAL.
28.2 grains Benchmark. 6 ARC vs 6 NSI for reference 😆.

Ok, so it wasn't today but it was a "today" at some point. For giggles I decided to neck down virgin ADI/OSA 308 Win brass into 6 CM. Simple enough process, however neck turning always sucks !

Grabbed a random mild load, zero load development though I had me a hunch all will be good.

The fist three. I shot prone with Tricer bipod and rear bag. This rifle hammers with Barnes 112 Match burners so I did not adjust its zero and sent the rest at 700 meter steel...

The Rile !!

No rounds loaded today, but figured this counts since I was in the reloading room haha.

I fired off about 700 rounds of 223 through my AR recently (with about 250 of those being suppressed with an OG6s). Man, that rifle was nasty! Broke down the bolt carrier group and ran it through the ultrasonic for a while. Healthy wipe down with CLP and reassembled. Mounted a new Athlon Ares LPVO and a Magpul PRS lite.

Should be fun to get back out. I’ve been trying to make a dent in the p dogs at the family ranch. My tally for the year is 860. Goal is 1k.

I set up a second toolhead and powder measure on my Dillon for 223.

Then ran a 50 round test batch of a proven load to test for any gremlins. I still can’t believe how quick I can churn out rounds with this thing.

Compared brass dimensions in New un fired to fired brass for my 22cm. Trying a lap and some srp brass that was necked down from 6cm. While shooting most all the srp brass(starline) was really tight in the chamber prior to firing, the lap (hornady) was not.

Starline necks are thicker.
How would you rate starline brass quality in general? I just got Starline 35 Whelen brass to load up for hunting season after reading a few forums and hearing a general opinion that it is superior to Hornady. With 35 Whelen, there are no great brass options, I generally do not shoot calibers that are incompatible with Lapua or Alpha brass but this is a hunting exception for primitive season. It was disappointing to me when the Starline arrived, all the necks are severely dinged up and bent from the shipping.
