What did you do in the reloading room today?

Whipped out a couple 10 shot strings for my 7 mag with 168 Berger VLD’s and Retumbo and 162 ELDX in my .280 Remington with N560. I’ll have a new Athlon Rangecraft next week so I’m looking forward to trying a modern chrony with these loads that isn’t 25 years old.

Bumped the shoulder back .002 and collet neck sized 40 fully formed 223 brass and then loaded a few different charges of TAC under some Hornady 80 grn I picked up a pile of for next to nothing. Hoping my 1:8 Tikka likes them well enough. It cuts tiny little groups with 77 TMK, 77 Norma Golden Targets and Hornady 75 grn.

Case gauge for 223 came yesterday so checked some resized brass and most was gtg but a few were not. Set the Lee resize die in my old rock chucker to bump the shoulder. Turned it down too much at first but maybe an 1/8 turn was all I moved it but readjusted a few times until the slightest of overcam and bingo under the max. Took a marker to the die for reference. Will be doing all the cases (@2000?) again to make them uniform but gives me something to do but i don’t have a 223 rifle yet.
Reloading process relaxes me in the evenings.
9mm range brass will be next & thousands to do šŸ˜†
I need a 9mm pistol it seems…

Made up four batches of 10 shot test loads for my 7 mag, .280, .257 AI and my .35 Remington.

I got an accurate load for my M4, so going into production to load up a few pounds of powder. I found a light crimp helps with velocity ES and accuracy with this particular load. So crud. There's too much case length variation in the once fired brass, so I'm going to trim it all. Going to load up all my LC brass with this load. Every reloaders favorite game. Brass prep.
This is about an hour of prep work. This is going to take a while.

Started to get myself in gear for a new 280AI to arrive next week. That means clearing my backlog and getting my bench clear.

Deprimed 80 odd 6.5x55SE brass and 41 270 Win brass, put them through a dry tumble and cleaned the primer pockets, so ready to size. Unfortunately in the process my vibratory tumbler shook itself apart, so need to add that to the fix it list.

Loaded some 140gn partitions up in my 6.8w. Haven't shot any yet but drew another moose draw this year. I have a thing with me and my moose hunting group, we shoot moose with partitions, and the moose die. Favorite bullet for under 400yds. Usually shoot them out of a .270 though.

Do shell shock cases add any benefit if you're using subs?

Honestly, probably not much if any. Just wanted to try them out in 300BO.

Big fan of them in 5.56 and 9mm. This Badlands 77gr is sub 1/2 MOA out of my 20ā€ AR and the 147gr 9mm runs awesome in my comped 2011s. Have some 135s on the way that should be even flatter shooting.

They’re going to be releasing them in 6 ARC, should add a lot of capability to the cartridge, especially out of gas guns.
