Really enjoying the uniflow. Loaded up one hundred 220 gr subs for my 300 BLK. Took 22 min from start to finish.

I have a pile of 300 BLK brass (well over 500) that I need to size and prime. Then I’ll move on to loading more subs.

Well this is my first post on rokslide and I've been reloading for a little over a year. I added the thrust bearing to my Lyman trimmer as seen on this forum and did some cleaning/organizing today. Here is my reloading setup. After a year it's starting to get a little more fine tuned.

Sized 92 pieces of 264 WM brass.

Deprimed (30) 3006 brass and running in the dry media now. I’ll pull them out later today and finish prepping the cases.

Have a BAR I haven’t shot in years and figured it would be fun just to get it out and sighted in for something to do. Doubt I’ll hunt with it much if ever, but at least it will be ready.

Way to clean and organized for my liking. How do you find anything in there?

Did a small velocity test in .3 increments to approach Hodgdon max charge. Found a velocity node 24.7-25.3. Loaded 10 at 24.8 at 2.255 coal and shot a nice 9 shot .7ish group with 1 low flyer that was me.

24.8 staball match
New .223 starline brass
Fiochi primers
Hornady 75gr hpbt

For a training setup I’ll take it. 18rds to do load development and I’m off and shooting.

6mm arc. 87 gr VMax over 30 grains of cfe 223

My gun build is almost done and this will be the break-in rounds. Plus 20 factory 105 hornady black rounds to start the breakin.

Will take the LabRadar to see what kind of velocity I’ll get. Excited for the new build.

Decided to experiment with some old components in my 284 Win. Loaded 30 with 162 ELDM, IMR7828SSC, CCI200, in Lapua brass. Shot 3 groups of 6, horrendous, which was what I found last time I tested this bullet. Then shot an abbreviated Form drill with the remaining 12. Logged radius data on the second 2 groups because the first had foulers in it.

I'd like to just abandon this load completely because I already have a really good baseline, but last night I decided I might as well use this bad load to do some testing on effective methods of load dev. First, to test components I loaded up 10ea of IMR7828SSC/FED210, H4831SC/CCI200, H4350/CCI200 (all still with 162ELDM at same seating depth). This covers a different primer, and 2 different powders. Will shoot for groups of 10 and record radius data to compare which of these changes, if any, produce an improvement over the first load tested.

Then with my remaining 20 bullets, I'll do 10ea of a drastically different seating depth (currently 0.055" jump) and then a drastically different powder charge with one of the above combos to see if either of those knobs produce a meaningful result. Will edit this post with results once I do.

Mean radius for these 12 was 0.55".

Grab a few of these to replace those crap nuts they give you. Even less headaches during setup.

Yea getting my trim length was kinda lame. I will really only use this for 6.5 creed. So it’s setup and won’t be change till I replace the cutter. I’ll use my Lyman trimmer and Frankford case prep for .223 practice stuff.

Do what ever you have to do to get one. I flew through 100pcs in no time.

Yeah, I have a Little crow trimmer that works well, but the extra step of chamfer/debur really sucks when you’re dealing with 1000s of 556 cases. Agh…you’re right…might be one of my next purchases.
