Yeah that is the issue I am trying to design out to have mag options which that is avoided. Nothing would stop someone from using a longer magazine with a shorter cartridge and understanding they need to run the bolt at a faster speed to avoid hang ups. But I want to put whatever caveats in place ahead of time so folks know what they're getting if they order a longer mag.Gotcha. I'd never ran it snail slow but the rifle is in my truck so just checked. With 2.090" COAL and at snail slow once the cartridge clears the feed lips it tips down and the tip gets pushed just below the mouth of the chamber and will hang up. At slightly faster its about 1 in 3 or 4 make it into the chamber. At a medium slow speed no failures to feed. Also for informational purposes the subject rifle is a Ruger American in a Magpul Hunter Stock. Hope this helps.
The thread to debate the best cartridge for leg wounds is that way ------>Does anyone else see COAL and automatically think ___ of a lifetime? Like caliber of a lifetime.![]()
