I apologize if this has been posted, but am looking for camera suggestions.

I want something primarily for hunting and fishing to be able to video/photograph. I also want something water or weatherproof. If it has good photography capability I will use it for work as well to take pictures of finished projects.

But my primary focus will be for outdoor use.

Happy to help. Big difference in waterproof or weatherproof. No interchangeable lens camera currently on the market from a major manufacturer has a waterproof camera, only weatherproof. If you need to go under water the the best bet id the Olympus TG7. Give me a call between the hours of 9-5 at 516-217-1000 and we can discuss the options and prices

What sort of capabilities do you want the camera to have? What would you describe as good photography capability? How heavy/big do you want to carry?

I'm a DSLR guy through and through, and can speak to those, but maybe not what you are looking for...

How much is your budget? Does size/weight play a big role? I'm a big Sony guy because of how small and lightweight their mirrorless cameras can be. A lot of their cameras/lenses have weather sealing too so for example I've had my Sony a6400 in some decent rain and it's been fine, just can't go for a dunk with it.

Just use your phone camera if it's a good camera. Most people have their phones with them these days so it's a one two punch. Heck even a $100 phone have a decent camera.

My wife has a canon R5. Great picture quality, but it was an expensive buy. She has taken it out a few times, and has captured some good pics. Just takes some time to learn the settings.

I just picked up the Sony A7R IV with a Samyang 70-150 lens. Takes killer pictures and I can't wait to take it out in the woods. I am finding my hunting desires start to diminish and my photography desires starting to go up!
