Starting to self film and document

So I am going down the rabbit hole of self filming and need some advice. I have decided on a bridge camera over a handy cam style because I want one do all type camera that I can take photos and videos with. I am looking at the Panasonic fz1000 mark 2 or the fz2500. Anyone have experience with either one of these for self filming ? Some reviews say the 2500 is better for videos and the 1000 is better for photos. I am more focused on videos. I am going to run that and a go pro or two for second and third angles. This will be used for spot and stalk and tree stand type hunts for varmints to elk and everything in between.

Have fun. My son is starting to do the same. He chose a handy cam style vid cam though. He’s been using a consumer grade vid cam for a while and is ready for some better quality.
I’ve decided I can’t do both. I either hunt or film. Trying to do both at the same time zaps all the fun out of both activities and I end up frustrated and defeated. Kudos to those that can do it.

Ok so after researching more I have another option that doesn’t break the bank as a starter setup. Anyone using Panasonic G9 mirrorless for self filming? Looks like the only downside per reviews is video limits of 30 minutes but I doubt I would run it that long continuously anyways. All the reviews say it’s a great budget hybrid camera and lots of good options and it a bigger sensor than the 1 inch on the Fz2500. Thoughts?
