Every day I see another business closed.
Just looking at data provided by the state, I can’t see the justification for the economic destruction that has been forced upon this state.

For Oregon, definitely. Other parts of the country are looking pretty dire though.
Nothing looks good down in Florida or Arizona. They were over 15% positive the last week with increased testing...
And as a whole according to Johns Hopkins, we have near doubled our positive testing rate with far increased testing numbers the last month.

Not sure why you would quote what I posted about the state I live in, and then throw some stats out from a state that is literally as far away from my home state as you can get without leaving the country.
I was specifically talking about data from the state of Oregon, and the misleading information coming from our States Governor and the local tv news/radio stories I see and hear daily. In included the sourcing to back up everything I stated.
I only talked about my state of Oregon, and stated that multiple times.
Our Governor is not using data from Florida to create fear in Oregonians, she is using the daily positive test total numbers from Oregon. She is leaving out the massive increase in daily testing, and the fact that the rate of positive tests as of June 15th is down from March as well as the average age of person infected.
There has been huge economic destruction in my home state. Lots of Portland businesses could just open a week and a half ago, and now they are talking about having to shut it all down again.
Again, I was only showing information for my home state. Actual state provided data, actual quotes from the Governor, and actual local news stories.
I wasn’t providing any opinion on data or government actions in Florida, Texas, China, Canada, or any where else.
