What 6mm bullet for cougars and wolves?

I got the go ahead from the wife to cut down her .243 to 18" and thread it for me suppressor. Now I need to decide on a bullet. This rifle will mostly ride in the SxS but will get used occasionally when I do some cougar calling. Do I want a varmint or big game bullet?

I run the 105 amax / eldm as my everything bullet.

I've tried the Hornady 105 HPBT, but they keyhole at 100 yards. Do you think the ELDm would be any different ?

If you have a 9 twist I doubt you’ll ever get the 103/105/108 to work. I couldn’t hit a 2 foot square with a 9.25 twist I had with the 103s

I would just load up a bucket of whatever 100gr sp's you can get ahold of, an call it a day.

If you can find some 95gr Berger’s they would be a great choice as that rifle is probably a 10 twist.

Regardless of manufacturer I would think a cup/core bullet would be your best choice vs bonded or solids.
