My primary rifles are a tikka 223 and 6.5cm. I don’t shoot my 308 or 30-06 anymore. I want to add a 16-20” 6cm suppressed. Don’t want to mess around changing barrels, etc. Any recs for a factory 6cm or I could go with a tikka 243

Go to Buda or Eurooptic to see who makes one.
Of the group Springfield, Ruger, Savage and Bergara, none of them have excite me for the $.

Ruger should at least provide the most options that check the most boxes. Short threaded barrel. Bolt, trigger and just livable as I have one. Stock is junk IMO. Go Ruger. Throw it in a bravo and you decrease feeding issues. All in for $1000

What's the budget? Best bet is to probably buy the 243 and shoot it out or send it off to get rechambered.

What does your rifle weigh with the bravo?

I'd just commission someone to put it together for you. A Tikka donor + LS Wild prefit should end up under $1500. I thought LS wild might be putting them together to sell that way?

243 works too.

I'd agree that most existing factory options aren't particularly enticing. PH3 are nice but pretty heavy.

One route that is an easy button to get into a 6CM is the ruger american gen 2. Bought one for my wife. It is a great shooter with factory 108 ELDM. It's definitely a cheap rifle, I don't love the mag box. But man the thing shoots pretty darn good. I did replace the trigger with a timney.

Currently just paid to do this with an 18" preferred prefit and SS action from LS Wild - he's spinning new 6 CM barrel on action which I also purchased from him. He'll send them with or without a stock, comes with bottom metal/mag/trigger. Good deal for sure.

If you want a today option - 243 1:8 tikka.

I hear 6 creed is on the way. I just snagged a 6cm 1:7 18” PBB from LS Wild recently and he will install it on my gun free (ran a promo). I won’t ship it to him until after the season, but until then I’ll shoot my 20” 243 tikka with 95 BT or hand loaded 95 TMK.

They don't rechamber?
Their "Tier 1" tikka build is a factory tikka that they cerakote, muzzle thread, and put in a rokstok - $1686. Maybe some savings if a guy doesn't need muzzle threads?

If a guy got a deal on a $600 243, they charge $365 to do a chamber job. With tax/shipping, transfer fees, etc, thats going to be over $1k. Rokstoks are over $500 so i guess the "close" part of your post may be feasible if you didn't pay full price for the base rifle from UM.

whats the price?
